Hoskins Family 2018
HOSKINS FAMILY 2018
The year that was brought joy to our home, and seeing old friends made a great part of this poem. For me it was seeing Matt D. and Keith G., both great buddies and dads which is pleasing to me. Kristi saw “Mellow” Lisa in the Motor City, the pictures were in the cold, but quite pretty. Luke’s friend, Andrew, moved away, he’ll miss seeing ya, they talk more now, through social media. We spent time with Jerry and Linda on the Big Island, always a pleasure, and then in Scottsdale with the Pearson’s is time you can’t measure.
Luke continued his quest to play high school sports. From middle school teams, to summer league basketball and making the freshman squad in ridiculously large shorts. He played his last soccer game, more bittersweet for Kristi and I, than for him. And more club basketball, “off to the gym!”
Kristi continues to tear it up with Liverpool Jeans - she travels to markets and works with influencers, whatever that means. Her travels took her to New York, Seattle, Detroit, Las Vegas, through California and Arizona — one more trip and we’ll have to disown ya! (kidding, jeez!)
I’ve been busy working at Home Depot, with little knowledge of electrical, I’m learning the lingo. I know about pigtails, red devils and conduit, it’s like a different language, but I’m getting used to it. It keeps me in shape as I’m on on my feet, 12,500 steps a shift, quite a feat. (see what I did there? Feet/Feat).
After Christmas, Kristi and Luke on a mission they will go, to Mexico in a town named Maneadero. What a great way to help others and spread the word of Christ, and to bond with good friends, so very nice.
We’re blessed and we’re happy as we end this crazy year, we look forward to 2019, and seeing family and friends we hold dear.
God bless you all and have a great 2019!
